New Releases for Kindle May 24

Yeah! Our new releases posts are back in action. Today's releases are not as plentiful as some some Tuesdays. I think publishers are waiting for the big releases that are hitting the shelves and our Kindles this June. Many of our favorite authors have new books coming out next month. Can't wait.



During our break several stunning books were released. One that kept me up nights was Lost in Shangri La. This book follows the true life disappearance via plane crash of a group of military personnel in the Pacific theater during WWII. To add to the interest of the story they run into a tribe that has never had contact with modern man...sounds like fiction buts its true!



Prayers and Lies is another fascinating book that we are enjoying and passing on to friends! We love, love, love us a good southern novel and this one has it in spades. The author takes typical stereotypes and amplifies them beyond belief while still keeping everything believable. How does she do it? What an excellent writer! What a great book!

We have not read America Pacifica yet but the reviews are excellent and it is next on my list. I fell in love with The Hunger Games and the other books in that series and I am hoping I get the same feeling from this dystopian novel for adults.

Now, for this week...



The biggest news is the new David McCullough release, The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris. This book details the journeys of those American who make America America while they spent time overseas in Paris.This is just a small portion of each person's life but oh, how vital and exciting. The book makes you feel that the time spent in Paris was crucial to each person's accomplishments in America.
