I spent last week engrossed in several great books but am really looking forward to two of this weeks new fiction releases for kindle.
The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb
by Melanie Benjamin and
Close Your Eyes
by Amanda Eyre Ward.
Hot on the heels of the release of Water for Elephants, the movie version of the wonderful novel, circus and curiosity novels set around the turn of the century are getting a lot of press. But are they all good? I have heard from several friends who read early copies of
The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb
that is was excellent. Who knew? I was not even aware he he had a wife, let alone the whole back story and melodrama. I downloaded it on my kindle as soon as it was available.
Close Your Eyes
is receiving advance praise as a super whodunit. I love a good mystery and if they are really good I will gobble them up in one sitting...I hope this one delivers. There is an awesome interview with the author on the Amazon Kindle page that made me download the novel as soon as it was available for kindle. Click on the book to read the interview and download the novel for your kindle.
